Jan Mortier

Jan Mortier has spoken at conferences of former Heads of State and moderated investment sessions of Ministers of State and former Heads of Government. He has served Civitatis International A.G. in its service to high-level clients around the world across the geopolitical spectrum. In particular, by overseeing the production of in-depth thematic reports for clients and serving as final editor of several hundred page conference reports and policy proposals for governments.
His speaking, rapporteur and moderating engagements at mega-conferences have included, among others:
Mr. Mortier has served as a caseworker for a Member of Parliament and as a freelance researcher to Air Marshal The Lord Garden KCB, (former director of Chatham House). He has campaigned for candidates in British elections and has held party positions. He worked at the Club of Rome International Secretariat (Switzerland) serving two Secretary Generals of the Club of Rome who were formerly of the OECD and the World Bank.
Mr. Mortier has also worked for a pipeline and power-station construction company where he assembled an international consortium to bid on the $3.9 billion Baku-Tbilisi Ceyhan pipeline mega-project. The pipeline which is 1,768 kilometers long, spanning three countries and supplies 1.2 million barrels per day created 11,000 jobs. It is presently operated by BP.

- The NGO Process of the Community of Democracies, for whom he was joint drafter of the Document for Ministerial Consideration for the Third Intergovernmental Meeting of the Community, (Santiago Chile);
